General information about the Airofit breathing trainer

Airofit is a respiratory training solution designed to help you strengthen and improve your respiratory system, using the latest technology. Whether you are cycling, swimming or competing in other demanding sports, having more oxygen to tap into gives you a clear advantage. You will be able to train harder, recover faster – and perform better.

Airofit breathing trainer should be used according to the instructions indicated by the Airofit Sport app.

Airofit focus on total Respiratory Muscle Training (RMT), whereas other breathing devices concentrate primarily on Inspiratory Muscle Training (IMT). Other devices do not provide visual guidance, multiple training sessions and live feedback on the training. Airofit wraps all these features in the mobile application. Moreover, the training sessions are unique and developed with breathing experts to make sure you get the most of your RMT and not just breathing in and out.

The price includes an Airofit Breathing Trainer, the mobile application which consists of training programs and sessions develped by experts. 

Airofit packaging also includes a Quick guide, charging cable and a fabric carrying bag. 

AMBU International did a study on an older version of Airofit in 2013. So far, it is the only study done using our product. However, there are countless studies on respiratory training’s effect on physical performance.

We are working with several asthmatics and their feedback is great! However, there are many different types and degrees of Asthma, so we strongly recommend you to first consult with your doctor about respiratory training.

No. All ages can use the trainer, but we strongly recommend that kids under 15 use it with supervision from an adult.

We recommend that you start training 2x5 minutes every day. After a few trainings, we encourage you to train at least 2x10 minutes per day. We strongly recommend that you always take a short break after every 3 minutes of your training.

You should be relaxed and standing or sitting upright. Hold the trainer with your hand on the E-Unit (black part on the main body). Make sure that the openings near the wheels are not obstructed. Now place the trainer in your mouth so that your lips cover the outer shield of the mouthpiece to make a seal. Look straight forward, looking down can cause more salivating.

Hard respiratory training can cause dizziness, we recommend that you stay in your position after training, and breath normally and slowly for a minimum 1-2 minute before raising.

Always remove the E-unit before cleaning with water or other liquids! After each training we recommend that you wash the device in warm water, shake off excess water and dry with a clean towel. Once a week, remover the mouthpiece from the device to be able to clean it better. Use a mild disinfectant solution instead of water. The disinfectant solution used must be intended for use on equipment that comes into contact with the mouth, such as that used for baby bottles. If in doubt, ask your pharmacist. After, hold the Breathing Trainer under running water, allowing it to run through. Shake off excess water and dry with a clean towel.

Issues with the Airofit breathing trainer

You should make sure that the Bluetooth on your phone is turned ON. Then, the Airofit trainer should be connected. If your trainer still cannot connect, try to restart your Bluetooth. (Turn it on and off) If it does not help, another reason might be that the battery level of your Airofit trainer might is too low or that you have multiple Airofit breathing trainers turned on in the same room. Charge your trainer and try to connect again.

Do not push the button after the connection has happened. Do not leave the app while using the trainer. Do not move the Airofit breathing trainer more than 5 meters away from the smartphone that the trainer is connected to.

You will find the charging plug inside the removable E-unit. Insert your Micro USB cable to charge your Airofit trainer. If the light on the button is blinking green you have inserted the cable correctly and your Airofit is charging. Once fully charged, the button will light green.

Check if you have inserted your cable correctly and if your cable works with other electric devices. You should also probe if your socket works for other electric appliances.

Airofit Sport mobile application

You can download the Airofit Sport App from App Store on iOS devices and from Google Play Store on Android devices and install it on your smartphone.

Please note that Airofit is compatible with iOS version 11 or newer, and Android version 7 or newer. 

1. Turn Bluetooth on your phone ON 
2. Open your Airofit app. 
3. Turn your Airofit trainer ON by pressing the button quick - the LED starts to blink 
4. Your trainer will be automatically connected within 15 seconds

Yes, it does!

Respiratory training is like all other forms of training, you need to train it all, but some training sessions are more specific. Therefore, we have put them into programs. You don’t need to finish a program to start another, but you can switch between them. Also, it is a good idea to mix your program training with single sessions from the single exercises’ menu.

Yes! The app and its content will constantly be under development, and new training sessions and programs will be added.

Select “Activity” icon on the navigation panel in the bottom of your screen. Here you can find your training progress and statistics.

Airofit does not support this function yet.

Select “Settings” icon on the navigation panel in the bottom of your screen. Scroll down to the Program section and turn receiving notifications on. Then select the daily reminder time and choose when you want to be remined.

The reminder is to remind you to train every day, not at a specific time.

Select “Settings” icon on the navigation panel in the bottom of your screen. The password can be reset in the Account section.

Open your app, click on “Already have an account – login here”. Then you should select “Forgot password – click here”.

The app currently operates only in English.

Payments

Airofit accepts Visa, MasterCard and AmericanExpress payment cards, as well as Google Pay, Apple Pay and Paypal. Online payment is both fast and secure. All transactions are processed through an encrypted payment getaway and we use leading security and fraud protection systems. Once your order has been completed, you will receive a confirmation email containing a receipt for your transaction. 

The default currency on our website is US Dollars. We do run a local corrency convertor, so you see prices in your local currency, unless you're using a VPN service. In the bottom left corner you can switch the currency to anything that fits your preference.
However, please note that the checkout will be done in US DOLLARS.

Due to the European Union trade agreements and requirements, prices within the EU zone include the Danish rate of VAT (25%) and all other import taxes within the EU. If your order is shipped to a destination outside EU, Airofit is not allowed to charge any additional fees. This means you might be subject to additional tax, customs and import duties by your local government. You will be contacted in case of any extra charges or customs clearance. Be aware that this may delay the shipment since the goods will be held back in customs.

IT IS YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY FOR THESE EXTRA CHARGES. Airofit is not responsible for your local country taxes and duties.

Delivery and returns

The delivery time and cost vary according to your selected method.

When your order is handled by our warehouse and ready to be shipped, you will receive an email including your tracking number so you can keep an eye on your shipment.

Send us an email at support@airofit.com with your order number and we will make sure that you receive it as soon as possible.

Even though all products are thoroughly inspected before the shipment, these situations happen. Unfortunately, Airofit has no control over the delivery process. Please fill out our PRA form (Download here), take a picture/video of the damaged product and send it by email to support@airofit.com. You will hear from us within one business day and we will try to solve your issue as soon as possible. Find out more about our Defect Complaint Return Procedure here.

Airofit offers a 2-year warranty on our product. The warranty covers all the manufacturer’s faults. The warranty however does not cover damaged device due to day-to-day use and other damages caused by accidents. In order to examine whether the errors are covered by the warranty, fill out our PRA form here, and send it to support@airofit.com together with enclosed photos/video of the damage. You will hear from us within one business day and we will try to solve your issue as soon as possible.

If you wish to return the product, fill out our PRA form here and send it to support@airofit.com. You will receive a product return instruction email within one business day.
